Mouse wheel

Recommended Posts

I want to capture a movement of a mouse wheel and therefore I started a search in the "Example Scripts" Forum.

I found a topic written about 6 months ago by Toady.

There I found a script Zoom.au3 and I wanted to study it.

I copied it in Scite and run it but I got a lot of errors all of following type:

e:\Program\AutoIt3\Include\StructureConstants.au3(1799,61) : ERROR: $tagNMHDR previously declared as a 'Const'

Global Const $tagNMHDR = "hwnd hWndFrom;int IDFrom;int Code"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^
e:\Program\AutoIt3\Include\StructureConstants.au3(1825,39) : ERROR: $tagPOINT previously declared as a 'Const'
Global Const $tagPOINT = "int X;int Y"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^

and so on.

I added a #include-once statement but nothing changed.

Can please somebody tell me where the error might be?

Thank you

Troglo

Search for MouseHook from Larry. There were also mouse wheel messages as far as I know.

Thank you.

I found Moushook topic but I got the same problem: wheel down works while wheel up not.

At the end Toady says he corrected the hook.dll in this location but the link is wrong.

Can somebody give me the correct link?

(by the way I found several other wrong links in this forum)

Bad links are because Larry deleted ALL his posts at some time.

Many of his posts was interesting and frequently linked from another places.

EDIT: spelling

'Twas a sad day IMHO

Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
