_ArrayDisplay - and arrays with no elements

Recently, I've run across arrays with no elements.

When trying to view with _ArrayDisplay, array.au3 crashes at:

Line #(depending on version) --> Local $avArrayText[$iUBound + 1]

Perhaps checking if an element exist would be in order.

Example:

If (Not IsArray($avArray)) Or (Not UBound($avArray)) Then Return SetError(1, 0, 0)

Here is a reproducer:

Same problem here with AutoIt 3.3.8.1 and 3.3.9.2.

I would recommend to open a bug report on Trac.

This seems to be a rare case because there is no way in AutoIt to even define an Array without having at least 1 element. Strange.

When I run this example as is, the result "IsArray($Value) = 1" occurs only once out of ten (10) times in the For- Next loop.

When the line, ";If IsArray($Value) Then" is un-commented and the line, "If UBound($Value) Then" is commented, the message box describes a phantom array containing no rows and no columns and one dimension.

Maybe there is also a problem (bug) with the IsArray function returning positive on phantom arrays.

Or is this phantom array a new undiscovered variable type that belongs in a sci-fi movie? - Who knows?

I think most likely this is the root cause.

On that note - I filed the bug report on IsArray.
