CHAFF Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Hi Everyone,Just thought I'd post:I was looking to learn more about how to communicate through the USB bus. I found this piece of hardware on EBay and decided to order it:item: 380149028191My linkWhen I got it, it was fairly straight forward but had some issues trying to use AutoIt with it. So I found a datasheet on this chip on a German website and was able to write some functions to read and write to it directly to/through the driver. The CH341A is actually quite an interesting chip. It has different modes yet natively understands USB protocol. Here we basically use it in a simple I/O type of mode to read from 4 buttons or to light up 8 on board LEDs'.driver.zipEasyUSB.au3compiled EXE:EasyUSB.zip
